About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist Planners and Senior Planners in preparing pre-season plans across multiple channels to support merchandise strategies and buying needs.
  • Partner with Omni-Merchants to review in-season product trends and revise seasonal plans with updated projections.
  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify business risks and opportunities.
  • Develop item-level plans and forecast the effects of markdowns on sales rates and category profitability.
  • Provide fiscal control through the active management of markdowns and purchase orders.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, including MPC and Monday Merchandise Meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in merchandise planning (preferably in specialty retail) or retail buying.
  • Strong knowledge of retail math and apparel products.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence peers and management.
