About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Global Medical Advisor for assigned clinical trials, focusing on early phase oncology and hematology studies (Phase I–II)
  • Provide medical and scientific guidance to Project Leaders and clinical project teams throughout study delivery
  • Support investigative sites with protocol-related issues, including eligibility determinations and patient safety assessments
  • Perform medical review of key study documents such as protocols, Investigator’s Brochures (IB), and Case Report Forms (CRFs)
  • Conduct medical review of trial-related Adverse Events (AEs) and Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) in collaboration with Pharmacovigilance
  • Review Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) and patient narratives
  • Support business development activities, including proposal input, medical feasibility assessments, and client bid defenses
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with sponsors, investigators, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school
  • Current or prior medical license to practice medicine
  • 5–7+ years of post-graduate clinical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in early phase oncology or hematology clinical trials
  • Strong knowledge of global and local regulatory requirements, including GCP, ICH, TGA, FDA, and EMA
  • High level of scientific and clinical judgment with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialist training and clinical experience as an Oncologist and/or Hematologist
  • Board certification or equivalent specialist recognition in oncology or hematology
  • Prior industry or clinical research experience
  • Experience in medical monitoring and safety oversight within a CRO or biopharmaceutical setting
