Associate Media Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain media infrastructure services, hardware, and system software
• Support and calibrate audio/video systems, including review projection, video conferencing, and complex switching systems
• Maintain meticulous records of hardware, software, and operational documentation
• Monitor and report on media infrastructure load, performance, and security events
• Automate routine system administration tasks using basic scripting
• Perform preventative maintenance, backups, and restores to optimize system reliability
• Execute manual and automated media testing procedures and analyze results
• Assist with vendor communication and hardware deployments
• Provide backup coverage for basic Service Desk and Desktop Support duties

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia, or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in media production or post-production engineering
• Awareness of basic media terms, tools, and concepts
• Excellent written and spoken technical English
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to execute repetitive tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Media engineering or related fields
• Experience with Calman, CRI, Colour Navigator, and color analyzers
• Experience with projection and display color calibration tools, profiles, and standards
• Awareness of theater-grade projection systems such as Barco or Christie
