About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement technical strategies for building services aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage end-to-end technical delivery of building services projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence
  • Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
  • Mentor and lead technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver integrated solutions
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure all designs and installations meet regulatory codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in building services engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading major project delivery
  • Chartered Engineering Status with the UK Engineering Council
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software including HAP, Hevacomp, and IES
  • Deep technical knowledge of IES-Part L, H&C Load, TM52, TM59, TM54, SAP, and Whole Life Carbon
  • Strong expertise in building services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent working knowledge of BS, HTM, NBC, and NFPA codes
  • Good working knowledge of UK codes
  • Proven project management and team leadership skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
