Associate Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering work products from requirements through verification and technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, software, and operational constraints
• Conduct technical analysis, risk identification, and trade studies to support design decisions
• Design, layout, test, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or subsystems
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to validate design robustness and reliability
• Develop detailed mechanical models, layouts, and design packages for prototype and production
• Support prototype build, test, issue resolution, and transition to production
• Travel up to 25% to support integration, test, and customer engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with a graduate degree
• Experience with mechanical modeling and design workflows in Creo 10
• Experience with environmental and qualification testing (e.g., MIL-STD-810)
• Experience with design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly practices
• Experience in root-cause analysis and corrective-action implementation
