Associate Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and implement processes to ensure reliable hardware builds at scale
• Participate in prototype and production builds to validate processes, tooling, and assembly instructions
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCAs and CAPAs)
• Collaborate with design engineering to incorporate DFM/DFA best practices
• Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows, tooling, and fixtures
• Design custom fixtures and assembly aids
• Create build documentation including work instructions and travelers
• Work hands-on with technicians and assemblers to resolve issues in real-time
• Partner with contract manufacturers to scale production
• Define quality control and inspection plans
• Establish in-line and end-of-line test protocols
• Implement and manage statistical process control (SPC)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 0–1 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or reliability engineering
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with mechanical/electromechanical system builds
• Understanding of DFM/DFA, root cause analysis, FMEA/PFMEA, and SPC
• Comfortable working across ERP/MRP and PLM systems
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee per ITAR requirements
