Associate, Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the production of high-reliability electronic hardware for Tactical Satellite equipment, including SMT solder assembly and mechanical integration.
• Implement and analyze manufacturing plans, projects, and strategies for specific products and processes.
• Develop manufacturing tools, work instructions, assembly routings, and establish labor/cycle time standards.
• Interface with engineering teams to coordinate the release of new products and oversee the transfer from Engineering to Production.
• Perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions to address product non-conformances.
• Maintain manufacturing processes, oversee equipment, and qualify new tools or materials for new product introduction (NPI).
• Support product line key performance indicators (KPIs) and participate in daily shift huddles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
• Degree must have been completed within the last 12 months.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with soldering and/or basic electronic manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Basic understanding of 3D Printing technologies.
• Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Yellow or Green Belt certification.
• Experience using statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
