Associate Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into new engineering solutions and develop detailed design specifications
• Propose, implement, and verify designs for low-complexity parts and components
• Develop simulations and prototypes for new or modified designs and perform engineering analysis
• Implement product improvements and ensure designs meet all established requirements
• Document and manage changes, including technical rationale and formal verification test results
• Participate in investigations to determine root causes for low-complexity issues
• Collaborate across functional areas with scientists, engineers, and product team members
• Maintain adherence to the Quality System and follow functional area policies and procedures
• Provide input into risk management documentation, including FMEA and risk analyses

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a closely related discipline
• 0-2 years of related work experience
• Ability to apply engineering technical knowledge to specified disciplines
• Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and biologics is desired

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering
• Manufacturing engineering experience, such as developing instructions for product assembly
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, or other CAD systems
• Experience with Design for Assembly (DFA)
