About the role
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into new engineering solutions and develop detailed design specifications
- Propose, implement, and verify designs for low-complexity parts and components
- Develop simulations and prototypes for new or modified designs and perform engineering analysis
- Implement product improvements and ensure designs meet all established requirements
- Document and manage changes, including technical rationale and formal verification test results
- Participate in investigations to determine root causes for low-complexity issues
- Collaborate across functional areas with scientists, engineers, and product team members
- Maintain adherence to the Quality System and follow functional area policies and procedures
- Provide input into risk management documentation, including FMEA and risk analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a closely related discipline
- 0-2 years of related work experience
- Ability to apply engineering technical knowledge to specified disciplines
- Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and biologics is desired
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering
- Manufacturing engineering experience, such as developing instructions for product assembly
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, or other CAD systems
- Experience with Design for Assembly (DFA)
