Associate Manager, Research Operations

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage operations for new research services and products, including reagent production and assay validation.
• Coordinate the development of verification and validation plans in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
• Manage scalable reagent production processes, QC processes, and inventory management.
• Oversee the transfer of new assay protocols to testing teams and ensure proper staff training.
• Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure deliverables are met on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Manage, train, and coach operations staff to meet and exceed established performance metrics.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, legal, and procurement teams to support service agreements and product launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in immunoassay testing and/or development.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or staff management experience.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
• Project management certification or completion of a recognized project management curriculum.
• Experience in a research or clinical-focused services organization.
• Experience working in a regulated industry such as life sciences, GMP, or government contracting.
• Proficiency with MS Project.
