About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production Planners to support manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and execute production plans that support manufacturing, material flow, and on-time delivery objectives.
  • Ensure alignment between the Master Production Schedule (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and plant capacity.
  • Guide planners in investigating and authorizing the rescheduling of manufacturing orders and performing root cause analysis for disruptions.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Program teams to resolve production issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on production planning, schedule execution, and material flow.
  • Represent Production Planning on Integrated Program Teams and participate in program proposal activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR
  • 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven expertise in manufacturing scheduling, MRP, and MPS.
  • Experience in production planning, supply chain, or operations within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience leading or supervising production planning or operations personnel.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • APICS/ASCM certification or equivalent supply chain certification.
  • Knowledge of kitting processes, stock transport orders, and production material flow.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
