Associate Manager-Insurance Broker, Marine

Responsibilities

• Drive business development functions and contribute new marine insurance business
• Serve clients independently by preparing presentations and providing specialized training
• Manage and handle insurance claims for clients
• Maintain strong connections with the insurance and reinsurance markets to develop and place new business
• Ensure all business activities comply with domestic laws, external regulations, and internal compliance requirements
• Proactively monitor and manage account receivables to minimize bad debt risks
• Collaborate with other sectors to share knowledge, skills, and resources for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Accounting, Economics, Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in marine insurance (including Hull and Cargo)
• Proven experience in business development, underwriting, claims adjusting, or risk management
• Deep familiarity with domestic marine markets, including insurers, reinsurers, and marine distributions
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English (speaking and writing)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong teamwork spirit and enthusiasm for client communication

Preferred Qualifications

• International background and knowledge of overseas marine markets
• Extensive experience in professional marine placing skills and practice
