Associate Manager, Data Privacy

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of privacy program components, including drafting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with business and product teams to assess personal data usage and serve as a privacy advisor
• Research and monitor evolving privacy laws and industry trends
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and risk assessments
• Enhance consent management frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements
• Review privacy clauses in vendor contracts and support third-party risk management
• Help investigate and manage privacy incidents and reporting
• Support data principal requests and address privacy rights queries
• Monitor and test existing privacy controls and identify gaps
• Assist with data discovery activities and personal data inventory maintenance
• Design and deliver mandatory privacy training and awareness programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Law, Information Security, Privacy, or related fields
• 2-5 years of experience in the Privacy domain
• In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws including GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, and IT Act
• Familiarity with regulations from RBI, SEBI, and IRDAI
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as DCPP, DCPLA, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT
• Experience working in the FinTech industry
