About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of privacy program components, including drafting policies, procedures, and templates.
- Support DPDPA implementation efforts and enhance the organization's consent management framework.
- Collaborate with business and product teams to assess personal data usage and serve as a privacy advisor.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and risk assessments to mitigate privacy risks.
- Research and monitor evolving privacy laws and industry trends to analyze their impact on the business.
- Review privacy clauses in vendor contracts and assist with third-party risk management.
- Help investigate and manage privacy incidents, including reporting and resolution.
- Support data principal requests and ensure timely responses regarding privacy rights.
- Assist with continuous monitoring of privacy controls and maintain personal data inventories.
- Design and deliver mandatory privacy training and awareness programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Law, Information Security, Privacy, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience working specifically within the privacy domain.
- In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws including GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, and the Information Technology Act.
- Familiarity with regulations from RBI, SEBI, and IRDAI.
- Strong documentation and communication skills with proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and a strong bias for action.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as DCPP, DCPLA, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT.
- Experience working within the FinTech industry.
