Associate Manager, Customs

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Customs Specialists to foster high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily customs brokerage operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strict adherence to EMEA customs regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational workflows and the client experience.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and product teams to resolve complex customs issues.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex customs declarations and regulatory inquiries.
• Monitor key performance indicators to meet or exceed operational targets and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or a related field within the logistics industry.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team, with a focus on coaching and development.
• In-depth knowledge of EMEA customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with stakeholders.
• A 'compliance first' attitude suitable for a heavily regulated industry.
