Associate Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Act as an effective and trusted partner to the fast-paced and high-performing Airbnb team
• Deliver clear, effective and practical legal advice to business development, public policy, marketing and communications functions
• Provide legal advice regarding regulatory matters, consumer protection, competition, marketing, employment, privacy, dispute resolution, and law enforcement
• Perform sensible legal risk assessments to mitigate risk while maintaining business priorities

Requirements

• Qualification in Japan as a bengoshi
• Native-level command of Japanese (written and spoken)
• Business-level English (written and spoken)
• 2-5 years post-qualification experience
• Experience in-house at an MNC or start-up is a plus
• Tech-forward mindset with willingness to leverage AI tools
