Associate, Legal Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Oversee matter intake and ensure data accuracy within e-billing platforms
• Monitor invoice submissions and perform compliance checks against firm policies
• Troubleshoot invoice discrepancies regarding rates, allocations, and coding
• Liaise with law firms and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and status inquiries
• Facilitate timely invoice payments in coordination with Finance stakeholders
• Prepare aging reports, billing summaries, and matter inventory updates for leadership
• Document and improve billing protocols and process playbooks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Data Analytics
• 3-5+ years of experience in legal billing, e-billing, AP, or procurement operations
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in-house or within asset management
• Familiarity with e-billing platforms such as Brightflag, CounselLink, SimpleLegal, Legal Tracker, or TyMetrix
