About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on developing client strategies, engagement plans, and pitch books for specific industries and countries.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with mid-level clients and stakeholders to explore business opportunities.
  • Analyze operational and financial performance, as well as credit and integrity risks, of potential clients and projects.
  • Build complex financial models, perform due diligence, and conduct financial analysis to evaluate transaction risks and benefits.
  • Lead straightforward investment transactions and coordinate with internal legal, environmental, and social specialists.
  • Perform credit and risk assessments, monitor covenant compliance, and manage portfolio performance with limited supervision.
  • Supervise the quality of portfolio reporting prepared by junior staff and provide industry-specific perspectives on project risks.

Requirements

  • MBA or an equivalent master's degree in finance or management.
  • At least 4 years of finance experience with a proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and closing investments.
  • Strong financial and credit skills, including experience with debt, equity, and structured finance instruments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and opportunities within the European sub-region.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to interact independently with client management, technical partners, and government officials.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in additional European languages.
  • Experience in active portfolio management of debt and equity investments.
