Associate Industry Specialist – Transport and Logistics

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and sector advice for transport and logistics investments, including ports, roads, railways, urban transit, and aviation.
• Appraise new investment proposals by conducting feasibility assessments, risk analysis, and impact evaluations.
• Support upstream activities by identifying advisory service opportunities and assisting in sector strategy development.
• Review and analyze major industry contracts, including EPC, O&M, and Concession agreements.
• Develop market assessments, revenue projections, and cost benchmarks to inform financial models.
• Supervise the technical aspects of the transport sector portfolio and conduct field inspections as necessary.
• Capture and share lessons learned and industry trends to support the organization's knowledge management programs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the transport or logistics industry.
• Proven experience working with or on private sector transport projects, preferably in emerging markets.
• Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills for technical reporting.
• Ability to travel to and work in emerging market countries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in technical due diligence, project appraisal, or technical advisory roles.
• Deep understanding of market operations, economics, and key players within the global transport sector.
• Experience working effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
