Associate Industry Specialist - Energy

Responsibilities

• Support technical due diligence for power projects, including solar PV, wind, and other generation technologies, to inform investment decisions.
• Provide analysis on the design, construction, and operational performance of energy projects to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Review and validate cost estimates, operating parameters, and technical assumptions within financial models.
• Support the development and implementation of energy projects in emerging markets to ensure technical soundness.
• Monitor and analyze global trends in renewable energy technologies, costs, and market developments.
• Contribute to capacity-building initiatives by sharing technical expertise and best practices with colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering with a focus on energy or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of recent relevant experience in the electric power industry, preferably in the private sector and emerging markets.
• Demonstrated expertise in renewable energy technologies, specifically solar PV and wind.
• Proven track record as a Lenders' Technical Advisor, Owner's Engineer, or in EPC contracting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and fluency in French.
• Ability to analyze complex technical and financial data to provide clear recommendations.

• Proficiency in Spanish language skills.
