Associate Industrial Designer

Responsibilities

• Design engaging products that delight the end-user while maintaining visual brand character.
• Synthesize research, aesthetic trends, and production processes to generate new concepts.
• Create products that are appealing both on the sales floor and within the home environment.
• Lead day-to-day industrial design actions in collaboration with product development teams.
• Drive innovative product enhancements to simplify manufacturing complexity.
• Support internal and external design resources and collaborate on university projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 1 year of professional design experience in consumer products working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling packages such as Solidworks, ProE, Rhino, or Alias.
• Proficiency in 2D and rendering packages including Illustrator, Photoshop, or KeyShot.
• Demonstrated experience in 3D prototyping and visualization (e.g., foam core, 3D printing).
• Strong ability to communicate complex ideas through verbal, written, and visual tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Design.
• Experience in consumer electronics.
• Relevant professional certifications.
• Active involvement with professional design organizations.
