About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Research and Development engineering activities, including equipment specification, procurement, installation, and validation for new medical device products.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for product design and development through testing, documentation, and compliance activities.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and document post-production risk reviews in support of Risk Management Leads.
  • Update Risk Management Reports and traceability matrices to link requirements to objective evidence.
  • Assist Design Control engineers by querying databases, analyzing data, and summarizing results in technical reports.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and follow established protocols for routine product evaluations and data collection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering with 3-5 years of experience, or an MS in Engineering with a generalist background.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 14971 (Risk Management) and ISO 13485 (or US 21 CFR 820.30) or systems engineering.
  • Strong technical and scientific writing skills in English within a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a virtual or remote environment.
  • Knowledge of project management and technology savviness to automate simple tasks for process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or CAD systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and collaborate across functional teams.
