About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct microbiology laboratory sample analyses with high integrity and efficiency to ensure accurate results.
- Perform key microbiology tests including environmental monitoring, product bioburden, endotoxin testing, growth promotion tests, and sterility testing.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records of all activities following ALCOA+ principles.
- Support microbiologists with non-routine tasks such as equipment qualifications and validation activities.
- Ensure laboratory instruments are calibrated and in good working condition according to SOPs.
- Manage laboratory materials, inventory, and supplies to ensure they are within expiry.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow HSE Manual procedures for waste and reagent disposal.
Requirements
- Diploma in Microbiology, Biology, or Pharmacy.
- 2–3 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory (fresh graduates with a strong understanding of microbiology are also welcome to apply).
- Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and aseptic techniques.
- Knowledge of microbiological test methods and procedures.
- Ability to operate microbiology laboratory equipment effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Biology.
- Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Understanding of Environmental Monitoring for cleanrooms and compressed air systems.
- Experience in water monitoring, media preparation, microbial staining, and identification.
