About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts for members of the healthcare community, including Fee for Service, Consulting, and Sponsorships
  • Maintain contract documentation and ensure compliance with all contractual terms, conditions, and internal policies
  • Process invoices, reimbursements, and payments related to healthcare contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms
  • Triage contract intake from R&D and other functions to appropriate contract managers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, sourcing, accounts payable, and finance to streamline financial processes
  • Identify and escalate business issues, payment discrepancies, or potential process improvements to leadership
  • Support Amgen staff with healthcare compliance system inquiries and manage payment request mailboxes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in resource management, paralegal work, contracting, or financial accounting
  • Familiarity with SAP software and its functionalities
  • Knowledge of legally binding contractual language and terminology
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and detail-oriented skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with knowledge of medical and scientific terminology
  • Experience with finance, resource, and budget management, including cost analysis
  • Proficiency with analytics software such as Tableau, Spotfire, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Access
  • Experience with supply chain and financial systems like Ariba, Veeva, or Planisware
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly cross-matrixed, fast-paced environment
