About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of ground and flight test campaigns for the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) program
- Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and schedules to ensure alignment with program objectives
- Assist in integration activities across hardware, software, and ground support equipment (GSE)
- Contribute to safety coordination efforts, including hazard analyses, System Safety Plans, and Range Safety documentation
- Participate in test readiness reviews (TRRs), safety reviews, and anomaly investigations
- Support data collection and post-test reporting throughout the full test lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or a related engineering discipline
- Experience or coursework in test planning, procedure development, or test execution
- Experience with hardware/software integration or interface verification
- Experience with system safety, hazard analysis, or requirements traceability
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Ability to maintain or obtain a TS//SCI clearance
- Ability to travel significantly to support various operating locations and test ranges
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to missile defense, interceptor, space, or highly integrated aerospace flight programs
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-882 (System Safety), MIL-STD-1540, or Range Commanders Council (RCC) standards
- Experience supporting safety review boards or anomaly investigations
- Familiarity with verification and validation (V&V) methodologies and requirements management tools
- Experience interfacing with U.S. Government customers or range safety organizations
