About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track policy developments relevant to Ares and the alternative investment management industry
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support strategic decision making
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and written responses for engagements with policymakers, regulators, and investors
- Coordinate senior-level interactions with external stakeholders
- Collaborate with communications and investor relations teams to ensure alignment between government affairs strategies and firm objectives
- Support various strategic projects and teamwide responsibilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment management, investment banking, equity research, or related fields
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create content for diverse audiences
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Strong analytical mindset with a commercial understanding of how policy impacts investment outcomes
