Associate Global Security Watch Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor worldwide events including natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, and crime
• Identify events with the potential to impact personnel, assets, and operations
• Draft and review concise notifications for distribution to decision-makers and leaders
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of global security professionals in a 24/7/365 environment
• Facilitate crisis management response and assist with event escalation
• Conduct detailed verbal situation briefings to executive-level leadership
• Implement and support GSOC operating procedures and best practices
• Participate in training and exercises to ensure team proficiency and compliance

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in geopolitical instability, political violence, terrorism, travel safety, disaster response, or physical security
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Ability to work variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• U.S. Person status required for export control compliance
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
• Experience in a corporate GSOC, emergency operations center, or fusion center
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) such as ArcGIS or Google Earth
• Experience with risk intelligence tools like Dataminr, Everbridge, or Factal
• Proficiency in open-source research techniques (social media, traditional media, government websites)
• Formal training in FEMA's National Incident Management System (NIMS) or Incident Command System (ICS)
