Responsibilities
- Monitor worldwide events including natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, and crime
- Identify events with the potential to impact personnel, assets, and operations
- Draft and review concise notifications for distribution to decision-makers and leaders
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of global security professionals in a 24/7/365 environment
- Facilitate crisis management response and assist with event escalation
- Conduct detailed verbal situation briefings to executive-level leadership
- Implement and support GSOC operating procedures and best practices
- Participate in training and exercises to ensure team proficiency and compliance
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in geopolitical instability, political violence, terrorism, travel safety, disaster response, or physical security
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Ability to work variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. Person status required for export control compliance
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
- Experience in a corporate GSOC, emergency operations center, or fusion center
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) such as ArcGIS or Google Earth
- Experience with risk intelligence tools like Dataminr, Everbridge, or Factal
- Proficiency in open-source research techniques (social media, traditional media, government websites)
- Formal training in FEMA's National Incident Management System (NIMS) or Incident Command System (ICS)
