About the Company
Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead product lawyer, guiding interactions with the FCC, NTIA, FAA, and other regulatory stakeholders
- Take a solution-oriented approach to supporting commercially viable products
- Oversee compliance with FTC, NTIA, and FAA regulations, as well as NDAA and AI legislation
- Serve as the in-house expert on laws governing radio spectrum usage
- Work with the Export Control Officer on ITAR compliance oversight
- Administer the company IP portfolio
Requirements
- JD and membership in a state bar or the District of Columbia bar
- At least 8 years of experience in government, big-law, or a combination, working on radio spectrum issues
- Experience advising defense technology companies
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Practical, solution-oriented approach to practicing law
- Ability to translate legal concepts to non-lawyer audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior role at the FCC, FAA, NTIA, or a DoW office with spectrum stakeholder status
- In-house startup experience
- Team sports experience
