Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft strategic commercial agreements, including revenue, distribution, and payments-related deals
• Build and maintain playbooks, policies, and templates for bank and commercial transactions
• Develop scalable legal solutions using training and technology
• Provide strategic legal advice to sales, product, finance, and partnership teams
• Monitor new laws and regulations impacting the company's commercial business
• Find pragmatic solutions to close strategic deals in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 7+ years of post-JD transactional experience in law firms or in-house roles
• JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of a US state bar
• Experience drafting and negotiating data privacy terms (CCPA, GLBA)
• Proven track record of leading complex transactions end-to-end
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity (3 days per week in office)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, payments, or consumer credit industries
• Experience with bank-fintech partnerships or lending platforms
