Responsibilities
- Oversee the Affirmative and Licensing Litigation Unit, managing investigative and trial work for deceptive business practices
- Supervise a team of attorneys, ensuring professional development and adherence to policies
- Lead legal strategy for emerging financial products like "Buy Now Pay Later" and Earned Wage Access
- Serve as lead counsel in enforcement actions at administrative tribunals and NYS court
- Provide legal counseling to other divisions regarding licensing laws, rules, and legislation drafting
- Review and assist in drafting summonses, petitions, motions, briefs, and Consent Orders
Requirements
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Four years of recent full-time relevant legal experience
- Eighteen months of experience in a supervisory, managerial, or executive capacity
- Experience performing highly complex and significant legal work
- Membership in the New York State Bar in good standing
