About the Company
Blue Energy’s mission is to unlock energy abundance, energy affordability, energy security, and turn-key decarbonization by developing the fastest path to deploying new nuclear MWs at scale. We are utilizing shipyard manufacturing supply chains and techniques from offshore oil and wind to reduce the cost of nuclear plants by over 60%.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to leadership on commercial contracts and risk mitigation
- Draft, review, and negotiate supply and purchase contracts for engineering, construction, and procurement teams
- Provide general corporate support including NDAs, entity formations, and corporate governance
- Ensure bankability of project development documents, site control documents, and utility agreements
- Advise on legal, regulatory, and export control issues
- Coordinate with the intellectual property team and manage outside counsel
Requirements
- J.D. required with license to practice in at least one state
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant legal experience
- Experience in top law firms, preferably in project finance, project development, or energy sectors
- Strong expertise in contract and commercial law
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage outside counsel effectively
