About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day maintenance of the Games Demand Model to ensure all functional areas use the latest demand data and assumptions
  • Create, store, maintain, archive, and dispose of datasets and code sets in compliance with legal requirements
  • Support data owners and stewards to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and relevance for venues, schedules, and stakeholder estimates
  • Collaborate with the Technology team to develop and maintain data architecture and support the ETL process
  • Develop dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, and communication materials to support operational planning
  • Contribute to the definition of Games-time monitoring and reporting to evaluate planned versus actual usage
  • Develop data governance policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, economics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in data analysis and exposure to data engineering/processing best practices
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Tableau, and Excel
  • Statistics literacy and experience in developing forecast models
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining code sets and taxonomies
  • Ability to work onsite in a Downtown Los Angeles-based office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Event Planning or large-scale project management
  • Passion for sports, community engagement, or involvement in large-scale events
