Associate, Fund Accounting

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review monthly NAV packages from fund administrators, including management and performance fee calculations.
• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, producing original workpapers and financial analyses.
• Liaise with portfolio managers, investor relations, tax, and financial reporting teams to meet all reporting deadlines.
• Review quarterly and annual GAAP/IFRS/LUX financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Monitor compliance with fund governing documents, including Limited Partnership Agreements and investor side letters.
• Review regulatory compliance filings such as Form ADV and Form PF.
• Manage cash flow projections, daily cash management, and capital calls/distributions.
• Provide direction to the fund accounting team to ensure synchronized teamwork and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 6-9 years of relevant work experience in fund accounting or audit within the alternative investment space.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA license.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and complex fund structures (open-ended and close-ended).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA is a plus.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills to summarize complex information for stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Advent Geneva.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
• Experience working closely with internal and external auditors.
