Associate - Fire & Life Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of Fire & Life Safety strategies, reports, and drawings
• Manage FLS projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, budget, and programme compliance
• Coordinate with clients, design teams, and approving authorities
• Lead performance-based fire engineering studies, including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis
• Mentor junior engineers and undertake technical reviews
• Support proposals, fee estimates, and business development activities
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, company QA/QC procedures, and industry best practices
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and attend Civil Defense meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of Fire & Life Safety consultancy experience
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, UAE Fire Code, and Saudi Building Code
• Proficiency in English and Arabic
• Experience with performance-based fire engineering and authority approvals in the Middle East

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related discipline
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent
• Membership in IFE, SFPE, SCE, or equivalent
• NFPA CFPS, CFPE, or other relevant professional certifications
