About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and internal stakeholders to promote and develop Santander’s Financing Group in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Manage the preparation of internal credit papers and assist with coordination of due diligence, term sheet negotiation, documentation, and financial closing activities.
  • Develop and operate complex financial models, ensuring they accurately reflect transaction terms and running sensitivity analysis.
  • Structure and evaluate transactions through financial projections, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and return analysis.
  • Supervise post-closing activities such as SPV management, cashflow, valuation, and provisions for the loan portfolio.
  • Assist with business origination activities and the preparation of marketing materials.
  • Support global coverage by collaborating with stakeholders in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Latin America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in infrastructure/project finance, corporate finance, M&A, or financial advisory.
  • Proven proficiency in complex financial modeling.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplined team and establish collaborative relationships.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other local languages is a plus.
