Associate Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement networking solutions involving Routing, Switching, and Optical/DWDM technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Develop and execute network plans for new network rollouts or network augmentation
• Automate day-to-day tasks and configurations using Python scripting and other automation tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and PMs, to ensure successful project delivery
• Manage software upgrades and coordinate activities with global engineering teams
• Review RFCs and industry standards (ITU-T, IEEE, etc.) to improve project execution

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant engineering or technical field
• Experience or knowledge in software upgrade management
• Ability to troubleshoot reported network issues and drive resolutions
• Proficiency with MS Office tool suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and handling large data sets
• Knowledge of automation tools, frameworks, or Python scripting
• Strong willingness to learn and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of automation scripts and frameworks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines independently
