Associate, Envelope Restoration

Responsibilities

• Consult on existing facade design for enhancement or maintenance projects, including forensic review, analysis, and repair detail preparation.
• Manage staff and teams while fostering professional training and mentoring.
• Oversee and review Restoration Division staff reports and project progress.
• Assist with the management and growth of services related to the Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP).
• Advise architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability.
• Collaborate with management on integrated internal services, including budgetary project requirements and manpower management.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross-functional management teams.
• Document project activities through well-written reports and occasional technical white papers or case studies.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience working with building envelope or enclosure projects.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience within a professional services company.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Registered Architect status.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Deep knowledge of architectural design, construction, and local building codes/laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general PC computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant inspection certificates.
