About the role
Responsibilities
- Support hands-on failure investigations, including comparing as-built conditions with original designs
- Perform field and laboratory testing and assist with field inspections
- Conduct technical research, data analysis, and complex calculations
- Review, sort, and summarize relevant technical documentation
- Draft supporting verbiage for technical reports and assist in creating demonstratives
- Analyze technical reports from third parties to develop concurring or rebuttal positions
- Manage workloads to achieve simultaneous project milestones while maintaining schedules and budgets
- Assist with client communications across various time zones
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Material Science, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Building Science)
- 1+ years of experience in forensic or root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced engineering degree
- Pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) credentials
- Competency in a second non-English language
