Associate Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Own delivery outcomes for 1-2 teams (6-15 engineers)
• Manage people and career development through 1-on-1s and performance reviews
• Maintain engineering standards across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA teams
• Stay technically hands-on (~30%) by contributing to code and reviewing pull requests
• Work with Team Leads and Product Managers to define work and remove blockers
• Support system reliability by investigating incidents and improving platform stability

Requirements

• Strong software development background with backend expertise (ideally Java ecosystem)
• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Emerging leadership experience as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or similar
• Interest or early experience in people management
• Strong delivery instincts and ability to identify risks early
• Sound product sense and engineering judgment
• Strong English communication skills
