Associate Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support an EDW migration from on-prem SQL Server 2016 to Azure Cloud
• Translate data requirements into technical designs for new data quality controls and thresholds
• Create automated processes to measure data quality, transmission failures, and load errors
• Profile data sources to identify existing quality issues within ETL processes
• Collaborate on data modeling tasks using Kimball dimensional modeling practices
• Develop analytical tools and dashboards to report on data quality metrics
• Assist in tuning CI/CD frameworks and processes using Azure DevOps
• Support Senior BI and Data Engineers with innovative technology Proof of Concepts (POCs)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience or exposure in designing, building, and supporting data pipes
• Strong background working with Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Exposure to Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage)
• Understanding of Power BI and DAX functions
• Ability to read and edit PowerShell and Python scripts
• Experience working with CI/CD processes via Azure DevOps
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with non-technical partners
