Associate Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform materials synthesis for zeolites, MOFs, coolants, quantum dots, and lipid nanoparticles
• Prepare reagents, solutions, electrolytes, samples, and consumables
• Follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and throughput
• Monitor workflow performance and troubleshoot common issues
• Record, organize, and maintain experimental data
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support diverse projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical/Materials Engineering, or a related field
• 1 year of experience in bench top and wet lab environments
• Experience with pipetting, chemical handling, and solution/sample preparation
• Hands-on experience synthesizing zeolites, MOFs, and powder materials
• Experience working with acids, bases, and synthesis in fume hoods
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with coolants, quantum dots, nanoparticles, and thin films
• Experience in high-throughput production environments
• Basic engineering skills for troubleshooting tools like centrifuges, annealers, or robots
• Familiarity with automated workflows and custom scripts
• Experience with characterization methods for morphology and chemical composition
