About the role
Responsibilities
- Agree technical requirements of the client remit and lead the development of fee proposals
- Organise and lead the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team
- Ensure technical compliance of designs and adherence to legal requirements, CDM Regulations, and company policies
- Oversee the production of design deliverables including calculations, drawings, reports, and design risk assessments
- Identify and implement technical opportunities for value engineering
- Manage financial and commercial aspects of projects, monitoring progress against budget and programme
- Provide leadership to direct and indirect reports, including conducting inductions and performance reviews
- Maintain professional development and contribute to industry best practices
Requirements
- Chartered member of relevant professional institutions (e.g. CEng MICE)
- Significant relevant industry experience at an associate level
- Proven experience in designing temporary works
