Associate Engineer - Instrument & Control

Responsibilities

• Prepare increasingly complex engineering deliverables, including research and recommendations for equipment or material selection.
• Perform engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
• Develop and manage data for engineering work while adhering to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Stay current on departmental design guides, standards, engineering codes, and company policies.
• Coordinate with project leadership and internal/external team members on less complex projects.
• Assist in mentoring entry-level professionals and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous I&C design experience for large-scale power plants.
• Experience developing control system network architecture diagrams, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, and control narratives.
• Proficiency with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and control logic diagrams.
• Experience in instrumentation and process automation systems applications and selection.
• Strong writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
