Associate Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Provide remote manufacturing oversight to support batch execution and ensure adherence to GMP requirements
• Participate in deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of CAPAs
• Support manufacturing and process development through data analysis, document reviews, and lab-scale studies
• Perform in-process sample testing to monitor manufacturing process performance
• Manage sample inventory, including tracking, storage, and organization
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic lab notebook (ELN) systems
• Analyze manufacturing and experimental data using statistical tools and summarize findings in technical reports
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Process Development, Manufacturing, Analytical Development, and Quality teams

Requirements

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience (MS degree may substitute for experience)
• Experience or exposure to GMP manufacturing environments and process development activities
• Hands-on experience with in-process analytical techniques, such as colorimetric and enzymatic assays
• Familiarity with upstream and downstream processing technologies (e.g., fermentation, UF/DF, depth filtration, and chromatography)
• Strong technical writing, data analysis, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting technology transfer, scale-up, or CDMO-based manufacturing
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as JMP
• Experience using electronic lab notebook (ELN) systems
• Understanding of deviation investigations and root cause analysis methodologies
