About the role

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with enhancements, process improvements, and issue remediation for Real Time Power System Applications, PI Historian, and Synchro-Phasor
  • Participate in Full Network Model build and deployment processes
  • Maximize EMS uptime and assist with troubleshooting technical problems from data communications, equipment, or systems failures
  • Provide 24x7 technical support to ISO Real-Time Operations on EMS, PI, and Synchro-Phasor
  • Process PI Vision changes, synchronize changes among environments, and manage PI performance equations and AF database
  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving issues related to geospatial and data providers
  • Participate in development and implementation of new functionality in related applications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred)
  • Entry-level position; no prior experience required
  • Coursework in power systems modeling using software such as PSS/E or PSFL is helpful
  • Knowledge of EMS operations, California power generation and transmission networks, and network modeling desired
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and changing environment
