About the role
Responsibilities
- Learn and assist with enhancements, process improvements, and issue remediation for Real Time Power System Applications, PI Historian, and Synchro-Phasor
- Participate in Full Network Model build and deployment processes
- Maximize EMS uptime and assist with troubleshooting technical problems from data communications, equipment, or systems failures
- Provide 24x7 technical support to ISO Real-Time Operations on EMS, PI, and Synchro-Phasor
- Process PI Vision changes, synchronize changes among environments, and manage PI performance equations and AF database
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving issues related to geospatial and data providers
- Participate in development and implementation of new functionality in related applications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred)
- Entry-level position; no prior experience required
- Coursework in power systems modeling using software such as PSS/E or PSFL is helpful
- Knowledge of EMS operations, California power generation and transmission networks, and network modeling desired
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic and changing environment
