About the role
Responsibilities
- Write clean, testable, well-commented C and C++ for on-vehicle embedded systems
- Write unit tests and contribute to test coverage for new features
- Debug on target hardware using JTAG/SWD or logic analyzers
- Collaborate using git-based workflows including branching, merging, and pull requests
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 0–2 years of embedded software experience (internships, co-ops, or research)
- Working knowledge of C and C++ on embedded targets
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and RTOS concepts (tasks, scheduling, interrupts)
- Experience with git and Linux command-line environments
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of CAN bus or vehicle-network protocols
- Exposure to motor-control, robotics, or real-time control-loop software
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude, Cursor, or Copilot
- Exposure to Rust
- Experience with rail, EV, or unmanned-systems
