Associate Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Write clean, testable, well-commented C and C++ for on-vehicle embedded systems
• Write unit tests and contribute to test coverage for new features
• Debug on target hardware using JTAG/SWD or logic analyzers
• Collaborate using git-based workflows including branching, merging, and pull requests

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 0–2 years of embedded software experience (internships, co-ops, or research)
• Working knowledge of C and C++ on embedded targets
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and RTOS concepts (tasks, scheduling, interrupts)
• Experience with git and Linux command-line environments
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of CAN bus or vehicle-network protocols
• Exposure to motor-control, robotics, or real-time control-loop software
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude, Cursor, or Copilot
• Exposure to Rust
• Experience with rail, EV, or unmanned-systems
