About the Company
At Rhoda AI, we’re building the next generation of generalist intelligent robots. We own the full robotics stack from high-performance hardware and robot systems to the infrastructure and state-of-the-art foundation world models that control our robots. We've raised over $450M and are investing aggressively in model research, infrastructure, hardware development, and manufacturing scale-up.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, bring-up, and validation of embedded electronics used in robotic systems
- Debug and troubleshoot communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART) between microcontrollers, sensors, and peripherals
- Use lab equipment — oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, and DMMs — to test, measure, and validate circuit behavior
- Perform rework and soldering on PCB assemblies (PCBA), including component-level repairs and modifications
- Assist with functional testing, board bring-up, and troubleshooting of prototype and production hardware
- Document test procedures, findings, and design changes clearly for the wider engineering team
- Collaborate closely with senior hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers on integrated robot subsystems
Requirements
- Working knowledge of I2C, SPI, and UART communication protocols
- Comfort using an oscilloscope, programmable power supply, and DMM for circuit measurement and debugging
- Hands-on experience with soldering and PCB assembly rework (through-hole and/or SMD)
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to embedded C/C++ or microcontroller firmware
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Eagle)
- Familiarity with robotics platforms, sensors, or motor control
- Prior lab, internship, or academic project experience involving hardware bring-up or test
