Associate DVM

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary medicine, surgery, and dentistry for patients
• Manage patient appointments, procedures, lab work interpretation, and medication prescribing
• Triage and stabilize urgent or emergent cases
• Forge connections with clients through proactive care plans and effective communication
• Participate in team meetings to improve medical quality
• Coach and support inexperienced doctors and support team members
• Complete clinical charting and tasks in a timely manner

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic
• Medical competence in diagnosing and treating infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, and environmental diseases
• Surgical competence in feline and canine spay/neuter, mass removals, and laceration repair
• Dental competence including charting, X-ray reading, and extractions
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with POCUS and abdominal ultrasound
• Advanced surgical skills such as cystotomy, enucleation, or gastropexy
• Advanced dental skills including gingival flaps and sectioning
