About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality veterinary medicine, surgery, and dentistry for patients
- Manage patient appointments, procedures, lab work interpretation, and prescriptions
- Triage and stabilize urgent or emergent cases
- Forge connections with members through proactive client plan formulation and communication
- Participate in team meetings to improve medical quality
- Coach and support inexperienced doctors and support team members
- Complete clinical charting and tasks in a timely manner
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic
- Medical competence in diagnosing and treating infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, and environmental diseases
- Surgical competence in feline and canine spay/neuter, mass removals, and laceration repair
- Dental competence including charting, X-ray reading, and extractions
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POCUS and abdominal ultrasound
- Advanced dental skills such as gingival flaps and sectioning
- Experience with complex surgeries like cystotomy or enucleation
