Associate DVM

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary medicine, surgery, and dentistry for patients
• Manage patient appointments, procedures, lab work interpretation, and prescriptions
• Act as a clinic captain and mentor to inexperienced doctors and support staff
• Triage and stabilize urgent or emergent cases
• Forge strong connections with members through proactive client communication and conflict resolution
• Participate in team meetings to improve medical quality and clinic operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic
• Medical competence in diagnosing and treating infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, and environmental diseases
• Surgical competence in feline and canine spay/neuter, mass removals, and laceration repair
• Dental competence including charting, X-ray reading, and extractions
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with POCUS and abdominal ultrasound
• Advanced surgical skills such as gastropexy or enucleation
• Advanced dental skills including gingival flaps and sectioning
