About the role
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies for major construction projects
- Providing specialist procurement advice to private sector clients
- Managing and mentoring the contract management team for EPC/EPCM/DB contracts
- Establishing processes and standards for subcontract oversight and compliance
- Acting as primary liaison between internal teams and external contractors/suppliers
- Collaborating with client stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance
- Identifying and mitigating contractual and commercial risks
- Drafting RFPs, evaluating scorecards, and managing vendor procurement
- Tracking contractor performance against milestones and KPIs
- Managing the end-to-end procurement process for major construction projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in procurement management, preferably in construction
- Working knowledge of various construction project delivery contracts
- Experience managing procurement in multi-contracted environments
- Proven ability to implement procurement strategies and risk allocation
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
